Over the course of the week, I made it a goal to stay present in the moment. I didn’t want to miss a single moment of the last week with my safari tribe, and I really wanted to soak in the safari experience. I spent a lot of time connecting with those around me, looking out of my van window, and basking in the moments where I captured something that caught my eye. I’d like to share a montage of what life on safari has looked like from my perspective, through my camera lens.

World Bicycle Relief in Action
My RTW ‘23 journey is happening in support of the World Bicycle Relief initiative, a platform that provides bicycles to underprivileged communities across the globe. During my time in Africa, I was able to see how this amazing cause has helped people in real time! It was so cool to see buffalo bikes being used in villages during my travels! For more information on this cause, or to make a donation, please follow my link https://www.powerofbicycles.org/fundraisers/sharonelder. Together, we really can make a difference!
My final week with my safari tribe was full of laughter, love, conversation and true appreciation for time well spent, together. I am so thankful that the technology to capture moments in real time exists, making it that much easier to share my experience with all of you, and affording me the opportunity to revisit my African safari whenever I so choose. These moments are truly cherished! Until next time, dear friends: stay safe, stay healthy, and always remember to make space for what brings you joy.
The world moves fast,
changing everything around us with each new day.
Photography is a gift
that can keep us in a moment forever,
blissfully eternal.

The photo of everyone’s passports is genius! What a brilliant way to reflect the diversity of a group.
Sharon – such beautiful photos, and the video montage is amazing, Sharon! So interesting to see similarities and differences with Safari in Tanzania that I’ve been on. Your smile is so big and bright in your photos.
safe travels, and sending lots of love and hugs from Massachusetts – Erika
Sharon – Your photos are amazing. Brought back so many memories of my safari in Kenya and Tanzania. The blue, blue skies, warmth of the people and the amazing animals. Can only say”I have a bit of travel envy for your RTW trip”. Roberta
